« New theatre group brings Shakespeare to Mid Michigan »
The American Shakespeare Collective will present a free reading of Othello Monday, July 18, 2011, at 7:30 pm inside Schuler Books and Music in the Eastwood Towne Center in Lansing. This new, 75-minute adaptation of Othello is by TASC member Vincent Murphy.
The concert reading of Othello will be the catalyst for the next step in the presentation of the play by TASC. Based on the discoveries made at rehearsals and the performance at Schuler Books and Music, TASC will revisit the text with a renewed vision. It will then be presented, focusing on additional themes in the play, in workshop form in the late Fall.
We talked with John Neville-Andrews about this new concept. Click below to hear more.
