« Performance Network Theatre extends "The War Since Eve" »
Ann Arbor, MI – Due to great responses from both critics and audiences, Performance Network Theatre will extend its production of The War Since Eve, by Michigan playwright Kim Carney. This World Premiere comedy will now run through February 20.
The show is about a women’s rights pioneer and bawdy, outspoken feminist Roxie Firestone who has a dilemma. As the mother of two grown daughters - Milty, her put-upon assistant and Tara, from whom she has been estranged for twenty years - she wouldn’t win any Mother of the Year awards. When Tara returns and Milty threatens to jump ship, she must decide which is more important, sisterhood or motherhood?
Weekly performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm, with a 3pm matinee on Saturday February 12th. There will NOT be a performance on Thursday, February 17. This show is recommended for those ages 17 and older, due to language.
Tickets can be ordered at the Performance Network Box Office at 734-663-0681, online at
http://www.performancenetwork.org/ or by coming to the Performance Network Theatre (120 East Huron St., Ann Arbor, 48104) Monday-Saturday 11-6 or one hour before a performance. Tickets are priced at $25 - $41, with discounts available for seniors, members, students and groups.
Note from Jim: This show got a good 3 out of Fordyce. Here is my review posted January 23, 2010. And click below to hear my interview with the playright:
