We’ve revamped our website with a completely new, easy-to-use design and simple navigation. We can now post events, listings, and reviews instantly. No more waiting for Monday morning for news and features. We’ll post things whenever we can, here, on Facebook, and on Twitter. MIentertainment is now in real time.
Our events calendar will soon start filling up, providing a valuable resource for anyone searching for something to do here in Michigan. And we know you love the photos of events. Pictures will now be attached to the story (no more going to a separate photo page). Almost every area of the site is now connected.
MIentertainment Radio: a 24/7 internet radio station
We’re very excited to announce MIentertainment Radio, a full internet radio station based right here in Michigan. From our Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Flint studios, we can broadcast live from anywhere in the Great Lakes state. Anyone can easily listen to MIentertainment from anywhere in the world!
We have a full slate of daily and weekly shows on the way (details below) that we’ll broadcast live and syndicate as MP3 podcasts on iTunes and other directories, so you can listen to your favorite shows whenever and wherever you’d like. Some of our shows will air on traditional, terrestrial radio stations around Michigan as well. Those not quite ready to make the digital leap can request their local radio station pick up MIentertainment programming.
When we begin streaming March 1st, you’ll be able to listen in here on the web and on Shoutcast, and other internet radio directories. Apps for Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry, Palm are also in the works. Our goal is to be on as many smartphone and stream-capable devices as possible.
Our Show Schedule
MI Afternoon

Schedule: Airs every weekday from 3 to 6 p.m. (premieres February 15)
MI Afternoon is a three-hour live radio show hosted by Michigan’s entertainment reporter, Jim Fordyce. Available online and on-air, this lively show is packed with interviews, news, banter, and even some good old-fashioned gossip. Jim has been covering Michigan entertainment for more than a decade and brings a light-hearted and informative alternative to all that political talk radio Michigan listeners are used to hearing.
AM Lansing

Schedule: Airs every weekday from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. (premieres February 15)
AM Lansing with Walt Sorg is the perfect way to start your day. Walt, from the new TalkLansing.net, will simulcast on MIentertainment Radio each weekday morning from 6 until 9.
MI Music

Schedule: Airs every weekday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (premieres March 15)
MI Music will will bring you popular and obscure music with a special meaning to our state. We’ll cover everything from Ted Nugent to Motown. In between the songs, listen for Michigan music trivia and chances to win prizes.
MI Menagerie

Schedule: Airs Saturday mornings from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. (premieres in March)
MI Menagerie is a full hour all about Michigan animals, from mild to wild! Kevin Hile, the author of several wildlife books, is your host.
Platforms & Polyester

Schedule: Airs Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. (premieres in March)
Prepare to travel back, way back, to a time when the dance floor ruled the radio. Jim Fordyce gleefully hosts this hour-long break from the present.
Guilty Pleasures

Schedule: Airs every Sunday (premieres in March)
On Sundays, Michigan disc jockey Tony Burke will fill your night with the songs you will never admit you like, but can’t get out of your head. We know you are singing along. It’s okay to admit it.
MIentertainment Daily News

Schedule: Airs every day, throughout the day.
The show that launched MIentertainment Radio is still here! MIentertainment Daily News, the 3-minute wrap-up of the day’s entertainment news in the Great Lakes State will still air every morning on AM Lansing, MIentertainment.biz, and radio stations across Michigan.
