Guests

Gary Merel, acupuncturist and digestive health specialist from the Ann Arbor Holistic Health Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Summary

We know it’s a sensitive topic but our digestive system is one of the things we all have in common. Unfortunately, many people really have an issue with Crohn’s Disease, Colitis, and other forms of Irritable Bowel Disease. Our friend, Gary Merel, does a spectacular job of painting for us just how common these diseases are as well as what, in his experience, most often contributes to these kinds of illnesses.

There is hope though, and you know how we love that on this show!  Gary expertly walks us through some of the common symptoms as well as the impact of diet and food choices in the digestive health of our bodies. Not sure what the difference is between Crohn’s and Colitis? We weren’t either! But by the end of the hour, we had a much better idea of just how severely the lives of these patients can be impacted, and a much greater understanding of what can be done.

This show isn’t just about the bowel though. Gary really helps us to focus on not only what can be done to ensure better digestive health, but also he helped us to highlight what can be done to improve the quality of your wellness and the longevity of your life as well.  A fascinating hour!
